End of the occult period

Julie Hereman

Until the 'new' day X+76, which falls between 2 and 15 November, candidates who appear on the bill-posted lists can still be replaced in certain situations. The protection against dismissal of this proposed substitute starts as of the 'new' - fictitious - day X, which falls between 18 and 31 August, but their name is not known until the new day X+76.

Thus, from the second half of August, a new so-called 'occult' period for replacements began, during which you - as an employer - ran the risk of dismissing someone who, without your knowledge, was already protected. This period is currently coming to an end, as a result of which you will soon know which employees will or will not be protected against dismissal.
